Hello! I’ve been seeing this trend going around and wanted to jump in. As much as I enjoy reading, I’m also a sucker for movies, TV shows, streams, and everything else.
In the present day, media consumption is so important to every day lives that its significance cannot be overlooked. Popular books, movies, TV shows, games, radio shows, and more focus on a whole range of topics– whether they be true experiences or news, or concepts fictionalized for our enjoyment. The more we as consumers relate to what’s being fed to us, oftentimes the more we’ll crave it. However, sometimes the opposite is true–we enjoy what we’re consuming because we know we can never experience it ourselves.
Because there are so many different ways to appreciate assorted medias, each person can often have wildly disparate views on what they enjoy and despise. In my case, I steer clear from reality TV. However, some of my good friends barely watch anything but. Sam watches every major car streamer on YouTube and I struggle to stay awake for them. It’s this very disparity in opinions that supports such a diverse range of media today–and the world is better for it.
So, today I’ll be listing my Top 5 favorite (as of November 2024): books, movies, and TV shows. This list is definitely not all inclusive and I’m sure there’s plenty of wonderful experiences I’m forgetting. Regardless, please enjoy, and let me know your favorites!
