Good night or good morning, whenever you may be reading. This post will be short–its purpose is primarily to inform readers that I got my first creative publication! My poem from last semester, a sonnet inspired by Diane Seuss, will be published in Anti-Heroin Chic for their online July issue. I’m so excited!
Because of its content, the poem will be published under a pseudonym, Suri Deering. This blog is tiny, so I’m not too worried about sharing the name for now. Anti-Heroin Chic is a relatively new online literary journal that publishes work that’s “honest and from your heart,” and largely focuses on inclusion and overcoming difficulties and imperfections, whether they belong to the writer or someone close to them. I believe this will be the perfect home for the selected poem.
